This is an intricate, segmented bowl comprising 343 pieces, each individually cut and hand-sanded. The woods include maple, black walnut, bubinga and wenge.

This segmented wood vessel is part of the series, Chai Variations, named for its 18 pieces per layer. Chai, which is the Hebrew word for life, has a numerical value of 18. This piece would look equally good on a pedestal, in a niche, or as a centerpiece. Display it in a living room, dining room or entry way, or anywhere else you'd put a stunning, heirloom piece of art.
